The Wilhelm Bernhard Medal was established to honour long-term significant achievements in the field of the cell nucleus, and contributions to the ideas and aims of the Wilhelm Bernhard Workshops.
It is our pleasure to announce that the 2025 Wilhelm Bernhard Medal will go to Geneviève Almozni (Institut Curie, CNRS, Paris, France) for her pioneering work on genome organization and chromatin assembly.
The 2025 Young Researcher Award of the Wilhelm Bernhard Local Organizing Committee is awarded to Mari Sepp (Heidelberg University, Centre of Molecular Biology (ZMBH), Germany) for her work in developmental biology.
The aim of the Wilhelm Bernhard Workshops is to create a multidisciplinary meeting representing various research approaches most used in studies on the cell nucleus structure, functions and their relationships. The workshops strive to promote expert contacts between scientists across all borders. One of the aims is also to give young researchers the opportunity to present their research within a fairly small circle of competent colleagues and to meet experienced colleagues in their field of research.
